Why So Many MOSQUES?

However I live in an Islamic state but I've heard this one question time to time from others that Why are there so many mosques ? Why not to just built one or two big mosques in one town rather than structuring 5 to 6 mosques in one small town? This question gives birth to many complex thoughts and unusual opinions. Of course they can serve humanity by that money which is involved in building a Mosque 2 or 3 km away from another well built mosque, can’t they?Like we know that Allah has commanded us to built his home to built mosques but he didn't say to built dozens in one place .
Before I give opinion on this I would like to change these questions for some better understandings of human nature. So people asks “ WHY SO MANY MOSQUES” but I’ve never heard anyone ever asked “WHY SO MANY RESTAURANTS” , “WHY SO MANY CINEMAS”, “WHY SO MANY SHOPPING MALLS” , “WHY SO MANY CLOTHE MARKETS” ETC . According to a record in my town there are
Restaurants   152 (only well known)
Cinemas 120 (only well known)
Shopping Malls 33 (only well known)
Mosques 78

So why don’t people ask questions about these ?

There was an era in 80s and 90s where people used to ask one question before visiting any new place and that question was “ will there be any mosque around where i’m going?” but now the question is been replaced and it is “ Will there be wifi availability? “ , “Do they have good restaurants or good food variety?”.

 Actually the bitter truth is that people are now just concerned to earn money or to fill their tummies they really don’t realise that their true destination is return to their Creator.

These mosques ,they’re not earning like the malls and cinemas , In mosques there are people who volunteer to work there they are not earning handsome salaries ,they are earning blessing and blessings of those who seeks God , who wants to serve humanity not like the ones who just have lust for money.
